ASIATIC ECHOES RESEARCH PHOTOGRAPHS
Pictured on the following pages are just a few of the ancient Chinese pictogram-glyphs analyzed in Asiatic Echoes: The Identification of Ancient Chinese Pictograms in pre-Columbian North American Rock Writing, 3rd edition. Please note that ancient Chinese script was not standardized until around 200 BC. Hence, throughout much of Chinese history each calligrapher employed his own individual style of writing. In fact, there was so much variation in ancient Chinese writings that around 500 BC Confucius is reported to have stated: "The ancients must have had very strange looking dogs!"
